My Iphone 4 is taking forever to turn off? How to fix it?

Okay so I decided to turn off my Iphone 4, you know when you press the top button for a few seconds and it says "Slide to Power Off" and when the circle with lines showed up, you know the one after you slide the power off button, and it's taking forever to actually turn off. It's been there for a whole day already and I tried everything to try and fix it. And don't give me answers "Oh, buy a new Phone" or anything like that. So please give me very helpful answers~!
You didn't describe your problem in detail. So, google is the best answer.
The iPhone 4 is about 4 years old. It won't work nearly as fast as the 6, 6+. So it is normal to experience some lag, especially if your running iOS 7.
Think of it this way. You have an 8 year old computer and you want to make it run Windows 8 at a fast speed. It just isn't possible because the CPU and RAM are slow.
This also applies to the iPhone 4. It has old hardware that just can't keep up with the demands of iOS 7.
