My iphone 4s power/lock button is jammed D;?

Well, i'm doing this research paper for my high school and I was going to text my friend about the essay and I try and press the lock button(on the top) and it won't work. I got this phone when I was in 8th grade probably April and i'm legit bawling my eyes. I saved up my $300 to buy this phone and i love my phone, I never dropped it or anything and it seemed fine 5 minutes ago. Now all of a sudden the lock button is working, I tried lifting the button up but it wontd budge. I don't have warranty, please help:''''( and I know you can still use the phone and everything but if my phone dies i'm going to need to turn it on by pressing the lock/power button

Added (1). I said I got the iphone on April. April 28, 2012 5:34 pm to be exact xDDD I researched and some people said something about air compresser thing, i don't know but my dad has one of those but are those safe for the iphone!

Well first thing how old is this phone. I don't know how old is it if you said you have it in 8th and plug it in your computer and reset it or best thing to do is take it to the store yes it take you few buck but it the best unless

You should put auto lock so it will turn of by it's self without you having to turn it off and to turn it on just click the home screen button

You can go to settings--- general---accessibility ---assistive touch and turn it on a lil white button will be at the topof you phone till you turnit off you can use that button to take screenshots lock screen and more I love it
