My iPhone 4s volume isn't working?

I just got my new replacement phone yesterday, I activated it today. But now it's having volume problems. When i try to pull the volume, it doesn't show the volume. When i try to play music, it doesn't give me a slider to pull up or down the volume. I checked the sounds and everything, but it doesn't do anything. I restarted my phone, turned it off and on, it worked for a little while but then it stopped working again.

Call the apple store

Go to the apple store and get them to fix it, it could be faulty

Sorry for the problems you are experiencing. Please contact Apple on ways you can have your product exchanged for a working model. I urge you to book an appointment at the Genius Bar in your closest Apple Store.

Before going to the store like the other 2 answers said, you really need to make sure that it is actually a hardware problem. Since some things are not showing up that should be showing up, it is possible it is just a software error.iOS doesn't always download correctly. To check this you need to put your phone into recovery mode so you can download the iOS software again. Make sure you have the most recent version of iTunes installed and open on your computer. Make sure the phone is turned off. Hold down the home button until a screen pops up that has the iTunes symbol, and arrow and a USB cord on it. When it pops up plug the phone into your computer and when iTunes on your computer says that it detected a device in Recovery mode you can release the button. When you let go of the button, set the phone down and don't touch it until it is down uninstalling and reinstalling the software. You don't want to touch it because you might accidentally unplug it. Once it is done it will take you through the set up process again, just like it did when you first set the phone up. You will get to a screen that asks if you want to sent the phone of as a new device or if you want to set it up from a back up. Pick set it up as a new device. Once you are done, download an app like youtube and play a video, if there's no sound try turning it up. If it keeps doing what it was doing than you can bring it in… I do recommend that you call Tech Support and have them set you up an appointment at the Apple Store that way they will know you are coming. Since it is a replacement you are still covered by warranty and they will either fix it or give you a new one… Hope that helps

If that's a replaced one you just got, then it's probably not a software issue at the best of my knowledge. But whatever just take it back to the care center and tell them the issue with the replaced device. They would solve it for you. Hope you find this useful.

Same thing is happening to me ever since I got iOS 8 I can't get it to work?

I don't have any headphones on or anything and I can't hear anything! I went to my sounds in the settings and nothing worked! Why can't I listen to anything and why does it say headphones and not volume!
