My iPhone 4S was bricked by iOS7?
I upgraded to iOS7. Immediately the phone was very slow. The phone was on charge for the night, but would not power on the next AM. I did multiple resets (pressing Home and Power) and finally the phone came on. It was very erratic and required multiple reboot and resets to finally reach a point where it was kind of stable. I realized, however, that the wireless no longer worked. I took it to the Apple store where I was told that this was a hardware problem and I would need a new phone ( $199.00 please). I pointed out that the phone was doing everything correctly before the update, but the guy just smiled politely. Does anyone know what to do with this? Is there a fix?
Sounds like your phone is trying to work out "Error 21" by itself. It's an error caused my the motherboard not being properly connected. The same thing happened to my iPod, and they replaced my iPod. It is said to be not repairable, but I fixed the same problem on my iPhone 4S. Then again, I was on iOS 6 so you may have a firmware problem where the iOS potentially was not installed correctly. Tell them to replace your phone.
Yeah I agree with the comment above ^
- Will my iPhone 5 get bricked if i get ios 7 beta for free? I was just curious because i really want to get ios 7 for free after seeing a few youtube videos demonstrating on how to get it but i heard that when beta 2 releases for ios 7 that my iPhone 5 will get bricked. If that's the case i don't want to get ios 7 but if it's possible to unbrick my iPhone 5 can someone tell me? Can i downgrade from ios 7 to ios 6?
- Will my iPhone 4s get bricked by apple if I update to iOS7 Beta 2 for free? I had Beta 1 working fine but I heard if you update or you still have Beta iOS 7 by July 22 Apple will brick your phone if you did it for free? Is this true or can I just keep the Beta's on my phone for free until the release of the Final
- My bricked iPhone won't support a charge. It was previously non-tetheredly jailbroken? It's a 16gb iPhone 3gs. I jailbroke it but it was untethered so it became bricked. It started with not charging on the computer and then not charging on the wall charger and then eventually not holding a charge.
- IPhone 4 is it bricked or just the battery? Okay so i dropped my iphone 4 in the sink by accident for like 10 seconds and now i tried to restore by using tinyumbrella and now the apple logo appears (no longer in recovery mode) but like 5 seconds after the apple logo appears and then fades and it does that process the whole doesn't it get past it so is it a dead battery or is it completely gone iphone 4?
