My Iphone 5 broke: what should i do?

So I was calling my mom while walking and I tripped then, my Iphone fell really hard and the screen shattered:/ I went to apple to see if it could be fixed and they said no, "It's in pretty horrible condition"
Is there a way I can fix it besides apple?

It might be more then just a screen issue if they said it can't be fixed Holy cow you had to drop that hard and face down lol
You might want to check for repair people on craigslist to see if they will look at fixing it.

If apple says its beyond repair, your best bet is to buy a new one. OR you can go to a cheep non apple certified store and see if they can get your phone repaired. IF they can't, then youre screwed out of an iphone 5 buddy.

Checking for a repair at apple won't do you any good because they don't technically repair phones they just replace it with a refurbished phone for a fee. In the iPhone 4 days I think the fee was like 150 and they just give you a replacement and they take the damaged unit. Check around for local phone repair shops in your area if they can fix it. Once they open it the phone is voided under apple warranty which at his point isn't of much help anyways but just keep that in mind. Hopefully not much has gotten damaged from the drop. Because I've repaired LCDs for customers who claim that there's NOTHING else wrong with the phone (even though i don't understand how they came up with that conclusion considering they can't test anything else on the phone without a screen) only to find out the problem was much bigger than that so they got to pay me for a brand new LCD on a phone that doesn't work. Oh, so sorry to here this.a iphone 5 screen is quite expensive to repair now since it is newly available device. I only find this site that sells this part. But too expensive i think.
