My Iphone 5 is charging but won't turn on?
Well so I haven't had a charger for like 3 days so I had my phone switched off for couple of days ( it was on 100%) but kept turning it on to see like what time it was and to ring my mum) Now I have my phone charger, the phone went dead like an hour before that. So I plugged it in like 3 hours ago and it still won't turn on, yet it says it's charging. What the?
You may need a new battery
Did you try holding the power button and the middle button at the same time for 30seconds?
Or calling the phone company to replace it?

I'm sorry if this was a sucky answer. Nut hopefully the first one works for you! I do it all the time when my iPod acts up freezes, or takes too long to turn on.
Try holding the home button and the lock button together for about ten seconds and when you see the apple logo release the buttons. This may well be all you need to do! But if this fails? I would probably advise a visit to the apple store and ask them for some advice, i'm sure they will be able to sort the problem out in no time at all.

- My iPhone has been charging an entire night but won't turn on? It has water damage but was repaired with minor issues as expected. The last two nights its taken longer and longer for it to charge to turning on. Last night is the worst because its been charging for over 8 hours and hasn't turned on. Last night I plugged my iphone into its charger and I noticed that the charging percent would go up and then it would go down again, eventually i left it alone and it went up to 100% charge. Well today I let my iphone die all the way on accident and I plugged it in and it said it was charging, well its been two hours and it still says its charging but it won't turn on and when I unplug the charging cord it says to plug it back in and that the iphone is dying.
