Honestly, get a new phone. Plus I highly doubt the phone is locked for that reason. You got it off Craig's list. You got fooled. Sorry man.

They saw you coming (in other words you got ripped off). Sorry but that's the truth.
Lesson to learn is always check the Imei number before you buy a second hand phone and always get the previous owner of an iPhone to disable "find my phone" in settings before you buy. Otherwise don't buy a second hand phone buy new instead.
Imei number is a check to see if the phone is stolen or not.
Disabling find my phone allows the new owner to purchase new apps from the App Store using their own id. It would be stupid for a previous owner to give you their id because you could run up an enormous bill for them, so most refuse to do so and you're stuck with an almost useless phone.
- Locked iPhone and need sim card to use because I restarted it but i don't have the specific sim I need. Please i'm desperate? Ok so my aunt got me an iPhone from Canada but its sim locked and it says I need to insert a sim card for it to work. The problem is i don't have a sim from that specific company that locked it and the only thing I can do is emergency calls and all that. I can't even use it as an iTouch or something.

- If iPhone wasn't made in China by Foxconn? How much more expensive would this device be if made in USA? Is the cost in labor savings by building these in China passed on to the consumer or simply taken as profit by Apple?
