My iPhone 5 is stuck in headphones mode?
None of my external sounds work. I don't hear when I receive a text, I can't hear during a phonecall and I can't listen to music unless I'm using headphones. When I go to settings-sounds- and adjust the "ringers and alerts" button, I can hear my usual alarm, so I know that my phone isn't totally broken. But no matter what I do, I can't get it off of headphones mode. I've tried cleaning it with a Q-tip, using the blowdryer to blow air into the headphone jack, and put it in the freezer for a few minutes. Is anyone else having this problem and does anyone have a solution?
Ah I also have iPhone5 and also experienced this problem I fixed it though there's 3ways to fix this problem in my experience 1. Place headphones into iPhone then after 10secs take them out repeat lots of times. 2. With headphones out of phone turn on and off phone about 5 times but this doesn't work do step 3. 3. With headphones out of phone give time for phone time to release there isn't any headphones inside of the phone note this may take more than a hour.

I've been using AirPods for a couple months now and the battery is getting pretty bad so I decided to get some plug-in Apple headphones but those don't work. When I plug them in I get a "not supported" notification. I've also tried friends headphones that worked fine on there phone, so I know it's not just faulty wires.

I've unplugged and plugged my headphones in 20 times, blew air in the headphone jack and sucked air out, put my hair dryer on warm to the headphones jack, reset my iphone, and took a keyboard cleaner air thing to the headphones jack. Any other suggestions on what to do?
- IPhone stuck in headphones mode? - 1 So my friends had this miraculous idea of ambushing me with wear balloons, and my phone was with me, it didn't get very wet but obviously wet enough. I already tried a hard restart, and plugging headphones in a few times (which work when plugged in) but it won't go back to the normal setting when they aren't plugged in. Is there anything else I can do or do I have to take it to the apple store?
