My iPhone 5 Screen Broke. What Do I Do?

^This it what it looks like. The phone still works and I can still listen to music with it. It still charged and everything but the screen is messed up with this fuzzy, scanline thing.

I've never dropped it, damaged it, got water on it, or anything that could have messed up the screen.

I randomly started to get scanlines on the bottom of the screen and just yesterday the entire screen is messed up so I can't access anything on my phone.

I bought my phone this past May, and I don't have insurance because it costs too much for my family to pay for.

If I bring it to the AT&T or Apple store, will they replace it for free? This is obviously a defect because I haven't done anything to cause this.

I don't think so, cause you drop it and damaged. If the phone has a factory defect maybe they will change it for free.well anyway you will only change the lcd and maybe you will pay not more than 200 bucks.

Definitely contact apple. They will ask you to send your iPhone in for them to look at. If they think it is a factory defect them they will replace it. If they don't they will send it back and tell you it was your fault. I like apple but sometimes they can't be very helpful. If not i would ask a professional to look at the screen and see if they can fix it

I think you should make an appt and take it to the apple store.
