My iPhone 5 will not connect to the internet unless on Wi-Fi (T-Mobile)?

So my husband and I have had T-Mobile for 3 days, surprise, we have had issues every single day. They were resolved, but now we have a new one. So we have good coverage in our home… Sure it goes between 4g and "E" (which is annoying but whatever), and are able to make calls, texts… But unless our home wi-fi is on, we can't get on the internet with our phones, at all. Even when it does say 4G. Anywhere else we have zero problems. He has the new Blackberry z10 and I have the iPhone 5.So I'm doubting it's a phone issue, more or less a T-Mobile issue. Of course, I chatted with someone online, he tells me to call *611. Oh well, surprise, "all circuits are busy, please try again later -click-* Well that is just lovely. Anyone else have this problem?

To be quite honest, if we thought the only way to use our phones was by wi-fi when we're home, we would have never switched to this stupid company…

And YES, we have unlimited talk, text, data… Like I said, it works fine when we're not in our home lol. Go figure right? I don't have a problem using my wi-fi when I'm at home but I just think it's silly that that is how these phones work… And if I have a problem with my wi-fi (like I did this morning) then our phones won't work.

Last night I had the problem of my picture messages not going through… It's pretty sad that Googling the problem found me a solution. Customer service here sucks.

T-Mobile isn't the best service provider. It seems that your problem is that your data is to slow rather than non-existent. You should talk to a T-Mobile authorized dealer or better yet you should talk to the manager at the store you set up and bought your phones. Since T-Mobile only provides services to unlocked iPhone something may have gone wrong in unlocking your phone. This means you must contact Apple or restore your phone and have it unlocked again. T-Mobile provides terrible speed and connection. It is a way better option to seek a plan elsewhere such as Sprint if unlimited data is really important to you. The E on your iPhone represents Edge which is an early form of wireless service which is very very very very very slow. T-Mobile is not a service provider but a stress provider I would highly recommend switching to another provider.

Congrats to both of you on getting solid phones! Depending on the area you're in the date services you receive will greatly vary, ESPECIALLY on T-Mobile!

I have the same but only I have verizon
