My iPhone 6 is taking forever to download/update apps?

Okay usually apps download/update fairly quick. But today I tried to update Facebook and it was stuck on waiting and finally when it started to move it went so slow like barely moving. My Wi-Fi and connection is fine, everything else is speedy as usual. I've tried everything: rebooting my phone, signing in and out of my apple account, resetting all settings, even using iTunes on my computer to speed it up a bit! But nope it's still so slow. The only thing I haven't done is reset my phone completely which I don't particularly want to do. Can anyone help me before I have to call Apple?
P.S. My phone isn't updated to IOS 8.4.1 since it was only about the music I wouldn t think that d affect it right? Plus I don't want to update my phone if my apps are taking forever!

Apple won't do anything, its probably just your connection is slow or appstore may even be slow right now. Try again tomorrow.
