My iPhone 6s is stuck in headphones mode - 1

Added (1). I've tried everything including restoring it back to new phone, but I have no sound on anything.

Try to restart it

That means there's either a bit of dirt or debris inside the headphone socket, making the phone behave as if the socket is being used, or one of the internal headphone contacts has broken with the same result.

You can try cleaning/dislodging debris by repeatedly inserting and removing a headphone plug, but if that fails the headphone socket module will probably need to be replaced and that requires extensive dismantling of the phone. If you've never done that before then there's a high chance that you will fracture the conductors on the ribbon cable which connects the phone screen to the motherboard: if that happens you'll need a screen replacement as well.

If cleaning the audio jack of your phone (with a damp, lint-free cloth or compressed air) does not fix it, then you might need to bring your phone to a professional repairer.

  • My normal headphones won't work after using Bluetooth headphones? (iPhone 7)? I've been using AirPods for a couple months now and the battery is getting pretty bad so I decided to get some plug-in Apple headphones but those don't work. When I plug them in I get a "not supported" notification. I've also tried friends headphones that worked fine on there phone, so I know it's not just faulty wires.
  • My iPhone is stuck on headphones mode. What to do? My iPhone is acting like headphones are plugged in it but infact it's really not… I really don't know how did that happen or why. Can you guys please suggest some answers that my help me fix it?
  • Iphone stuck in headphones mode? I've tried all the ways they suggest online. I've unplugged and plugged my headphones in 20 times, blew air in the headphone jack and sucked air out, put my hair dryer on warm to the headphones jack, reset my iphone, and took a keyboard cleaner air thing to the headphones jack. Any other suggestions on what to do?
  • IPhone stuck in headphones mode? - 1 So my friends had this miraculous idea of ambushing me with wear balloons, and my phone was with me, it didn't get very wet but obviously wet enough. I already tried a hard restart, and plugging headphones in a few times (which work when plugged in) but it won't go back to the normal setting when they aren't plugged in. Is there anything else I can do or do I have to take it to the apple store?
