My IPhone is frozen and won't do anything?
My iPhone is frozen and I've Tired holding down both buttons but that didn't help. It's still on the same screen. What do I do?
What ever you do, DO NOT remove the battery. This is something Apple wouldn't want you to do because it would fix the phone and stop you from taking it in to get repaired, then charging you a truckload of money.
1. Hold down the sleep/wake button and home button simultaneously.
2. Let go when the Apple logo appears.
Since it looks like you tried that, you may have to restore from Itunes on your computer:
1. Before you connect your iPhone with the USB cable, start iTunes. Make sure iTunes is finished downloading podcasts, updating, etc.
2. Connect your iPhone to the computer and wait 10-15 seconds for the connection.
3. Press and hold both the sleep/wake button and home button on your iPhone.
4. After 10 seconds, release the sleep/wake button and continue to hold the home button only.
5. Wait a few more seconds and iTunes should pop up a dialogue box that asks if you are ready to restore your iPhone. Your iPhone is in recovery mode.
6. Follow the steps in iTunes to restore.
Phone says searching
- My iPhone apps won't update and now my phone has frozen? I have an iPhone 3gs, and i tried to update all 42 apps that needed updating, it took about an hour but after that it said they had all updated, however all the apps still have the waiting bar across them. I turned my phone on and off an that didn't do anything, i tried to reboot and that didn't do anything. And i also tried to delete some of the apps but that didn't work either. does anyone know what else i can do? Would be a massive help.
- My iPhone is frozen and won't shut down? I pulled down the notification bar from the top of the screen and it froze half way down. Now the screen is half my home screen and half the notification bar. The home button works but the screen is no longer touch activated and it won't shut down.
