My iPhone keeps telling me to connect to itunes?

Okay so I clicked on the upgrade thing and when I clicked on it it shut my phone down only to come back up with the [you know when it tells you to plug your iphone into the charger] yeah well it had the same thing as that except a iTunes sign at the top. I plugged it into iTunes, for three hours it did stuff and not once did my phone recognize that it was connected to iTunes then it said 'recovery mode completed' so I unplugged my phone and it didn't move! It stayed on the same thing and I'm so pissed as I want to use my phone but it won't work. How do I get out of this? I've plugged it in and did the recovery mode thing twice, six hours of my life I'll never get back and it still doesn't work. I'm honestly in tears because it's pissing me off!

That's IOS for you, they tell you what programs you can and can't use yet there are loads of mugs queueing up to go along with it.

I've had this happen to me when upgrading too, but I'm sorry to say there wasn't an easy fix. I spent a few hours on the internet using various tools, as well as upgrading over and over again to fix it. There isn't a single point of failure either, so it is hard to pinpoint one thing.

My best suggestion for you is to just take it to the Apple store if you have one near you, even if you bought your phone a long time ago. They'll be able to fix it for you for free. If you can't do that, I can only suggest you search 'recovery mode fix' or the like and try out some of the videos and hope they work for you.
