My iphone needs to be restored
Arghhh!
I just tried updating my iphone 4 to ios 6.
I think it might have unplugged… Or something?
Now itunes is saying its detected a phone in recovery mode and needs to be restored before it can be used with itunes.
And the phone just shows an apple cable being plugged into itunes.
Do I really have to restore it? And does that mean wiping the whole thing and losing everything? Please tell me thats not true and there's something I can do!
Is it backed up to iCloud?
Yep you have to but if you plug you phone in often it will have backed it up for you the last time you hooked it up to your computer. Restore it the recover the back up
If you have backed up your phone recently then if you restore it you can back it up to how your phone was previously. I've had to do this 3 or 4 times and I've never lost any information.
- Why does my iphone 4 keep saying it needs to cool down? My iphone 4 keeps saying that it needs to cool down yet its not even hot.It'll work for about 5 minutes then go back to the temparure screen. Turning it off and on helps but only for about 5 minutes.
- Which eBook app fits my needs for my iPhone? I want to download an eBook app for my iPhone 4S where i can transfer my eBook files from my PC to my iPhone. I don't want an app where my only option is to buy/download books from the in-app eBook store.
- Wet iphone needs itunes restore - what data is Lost? Fell in water… Powered up after rice bed for 12 hrs- saved phones pics vids etc to desktop- … Recv'd texts then phone acted up and is in now STUCK in a RESTORE (apple) logo screen. MODE- rebooting- IF I restore- will I loose EVERYTHING ---pics etc.texts contacts etc. I have icloud with contacts there- but what about my apps? Last sync'd months ago.
- Needs help trying to start iphone 3gs? I tried to restore my Iphone but it wouldn't turn on. Do you think it's broken or it's just something else? Because I've tried everything to make it start up but It won't.
