My iPhone turned off during update installation?
I was updating my iPhone 3GS to iOS6 from 5.1.1 and I had my phone on charge at the same time. I downloaded the update via the Software Update tab in the Settings > General part. Then proceeded to Install the update in which 3/4 of the way through, my iPhone must of came off its charger and turned the phone off. Now my phone is on a constant loop of showing the white apple logo for 4 seconds then flashing to black. I've tried DFU mode but it just shows the apple logo and black screen over and over. Please can someone tell me what to do?
You need to download this software "tinyumbrella" It put your iphone in recovery mode automatically. If that doesn't work, let your battery run down for about 12 hrs then try the dfu/recovery mode again it should restore.
Try holding the power button and the home button at the same time and wait for exactly seven seconds. If this doesn't work call apple and ask them what to do. If all fails (which I doubt) If you have an iCloud backup restore your iPhone hope this helps
- Update stopped during ios update own iphone now phones broke I connected my iPhone 4 to my computer (iTunes) and started doing the update through iTunes. About five minutes into the update iTunes in my computer stops working, causing the update to of course stop working. Now my phone will not turn on.
