My iphone went black but not totally black and i don't know what to do?

So i was on my phone and i opened up the snapchat app and it just froze and went black but not totally black like how it is when it is off you can still see a little light. I really have to have it for tomorrow and i don't know what to do, i tried pressing the home and top button at the same time but its not doing anything.

Just hold down the power button for a while and it will hard restart the phone. If that doesn't work try restoring via itunes.

Try holding all three, power, volume and home key at the same time.

  • My iphone screen went totally black? My iphone 4S screen went black randomly, it wouldn't turn on or anything, i tried to reset it and it didn't work. I tried to save my photos on a computer but i couldn't since nothing was turning up. do i need to just fix the screen? And if i do will the data in my phone be deleted?
  • My iphone screen went black, but the phone is still working? I was using my phone all day long and it was working perfectly. Then all of a sudden the screen went black and I thought the screen just dimmed down, so I hit the lock button but it stayed that way. Every once in a while it would light up for like one second when i got a text, but then go black again. My sound still works and everything just the screen is black. What can i do?
  • My iPhone Screen went black and not it refuses to respond to anything? I suppose I should clarify. The power button has been unresponsive, rather, broken, for about a week. Resetting it through any use of the power button is not an option. Do I need to take it in to the apple store? I've tried plugging it in to my brother's computer, as my computer is currently not available. When I plugged it into my brother's computer, it said I would need to respond on my iPhone, which is just plain cruel. Any ideas?
  • Is anyone else not totally satisfied with the Lifeproof case? I'm sorry but I think the life proof case is like taking $80 and throwing it in the toilet. I couldn't charge my phone, I couldn't use normal headphones and I felt like I was striking my iPhone every time I touched the screen. And yes I had it on properly and performed all the tests before hand. Does anyone else feel like they wasted their money?
