MY IPHONE WON'T ACTIVAT AFTER UPDATING

Okay, so i just updated my phone and now i'm on the set up stage, i did the language, region, and then the Wi-Fi. But it won't allow me to pass the activation stage, it keep on saying "Could Not Activate iPhone" what should i do?
i keep on hitting "try again" multiple times but the same thing pops up. My parents allowed me to update it but they said it won't be their fault if anything goes bad, i'm too scared to tell them, WHAT SHOULD I DO?

The easiest thing to try would be either rebooting the iphone by holding down the power and home buttons down until you see the apple logo, or restoring your iphone. If you're iphone was jailbroken, a restore should do the trick. Jailbreaking your iphone can sometimes cause problems with the software.
