My iPhone won't send or receive anything
I have an iPhone 4 and it is in decent condition, nothing wrong with it. It all of a sudden while I was in class stop sending and receiving messages and calls. My calls go through all the way to voice mail, but do not show up on the other phone (My friend and I tried many things) Same goes for when someone calls me. I have reset it a few times, and nothing happens except for a few old facebook messages pop up each time? I want to try to avoid a hard reset because I've heard that it won't even work… Does anyone know what is wrong with my phone?
Added (1). It just said I wasn't subscribed to a cellular data network when I tried to look at my updates

I know that it is not a problem with T-mobile as I was able to send and receive pictures a few days ago before I switched to an iphone. I've read a few different things online saying that its a problem with iOS 6 but how do I fix this? Step by step instructions would be appreciated as I'm new to the iphone
