My Jam Ultra wireless Bluetooth earbuds won't sync with my iPhone properly?

My jam ultra Bluetooth headphones won't sync with my IPhone properly. My settings say that Jam Ultra is connected but will only play sound out of the left side while the right side just beeps as the LED flashes red and blue (according to the manual this means that it is in mono paring mode and is searching for a device). The Jam Ultra Mono mode works fine but only with the right side. I've tried all sorts of troubleshooting methods, including resetting the headphones to factory settings, turning my Bluetooth off and on repeatedly, and telling my phone to forget the device and then reconnect it but nothing seems to be working. The right side seems to get stuck in paring mode unless I connect it to mono mode, which is not what I want, I would like to have both sides working. Any ideas or suggestions of things I may not have tried yet?

Hmm…

Have you considered the possibility that you might be dealing with a defective product?

Test with other compatible device. If they still refuse to work, then you need to buy yourself a new pair, preferably from REPUTABLE manufacturers such as Sennheiser, Shure, Grado, Denon, AKG, Bowers & Wilkins, Bang & Olufsen, Etymotic, Beyerdynamic, Audio-Technica. Cheap buds can just stop working out of the blue anyway.

I have the same issue with my jam ultra wireless earbuds and have returned them to the company and gotten another pair for free. After a few weeks of working fine, these new replacement earbuds have the same issue as the first pair! I'm beginning to think this brand is not the best and I should choose a different one. Any suggestions for which wireless earbuds work well with an S9 and don't have a bunch of issues?

In order to fix this, I called into their customer service group. Here are the instructions. Turn off the headphones by holding the button on the earbuds for 5-10 seconds. Once off, click the button once on both earphones. Wait a second, and click the button twice in a row on both earbuds. The light on the earbuds should blink blue off and on. If an earbud starts blinking blue and red, click the button on that earbud once. It should then start blinking blue only. You will see a steady blue light on both once these are paired up again so you can select Jam Ultra (not Jam ultra mono) and listen to the headphones. Customer service number is 1-888-802-0040. It may take a while to get on with someone, but they are very helpful once you get on.

Thanks 12.26.2018 guest! I had to do it a few times, but the buds eventually synced again.

Same thing happens to me

It doesn't work 😭

Thank you guest 12.26.2018! I also found your instructions helpful.

Thank you very much, 26.12.2018 It solved my pairing issue as well. Merry Christmas!

  • What are some good (and cheap) fully wireless earbuds? I currently have the Bragi Dash, but I find myself out of luck a lot of the time because I want to share music with friends on my iPhone 7 (which means no using their Earbuds cause I don't keep the adapter on hand), but I can't because to have the dash function you can't give one to a friend as they work like hearing aids and connect through your head. I would like to find a set of more simple Bluetooth Earbuds that can be used independently (one in my ear one in a friends ear).
  • What is ultra fast wireless and how is it different than 4g lte? Galaxy 5 I'm afraid is on it's way out (not charging) and I know the charger and cables are good so I'm shopping around and I see this advertised on the iphones, just curious, googled it and couldn't find a really clear explanation of what it does other than some T1 and towers info, thanks!
  • New iTunes 11 won't sync iPhone and iPad properly? Ever since I updated to the new iTunes 11 a couple days ago. The apps don't sync properly within the two devices. It used to be that whenever I deleted an app from itunes it would automatically erase it from both of my devices. Now even if I delete a few apps they will still be on them and I have to go in them and manually delete them, its not that big of a deal but its a huge pet peeve.
  • My jam speaker won't connect to my iPhone 6? I had it paired to my iPod before but I recently got an iPhone, and I would like to pair my jam plus 2 speaker and my iPhone, but it won't do anything. I "forgot" the jam speaker on my iPod and disabled the Bluetooth, so it wouldn't try to connect to that one instead and I turned it on and off to see if it would reboot the speaker or something but nothing any of these websites are telling me is working. What do I do?
