My mom is dangerously secretive? - 1

My mom has always been a secretive person for as long as I've known her. My siblings have never asked but she's never told us anything about our father. She gets out of work but doesn't come home until 1 or later in the morning drunk and sometimes doesn't come home at all. She tells us absolutely nothing about her life. If were ask her where she's going she won't tell us and we know there's no point in asking. We also all have a gps locator on our iphones but she turns hers off after she leaves work. I understand that because all my siblings are older (the youngest is 17), she may feel like she's free to do what she wants pero, we worry for her and what couldve happened to her when she doesn't come home. We don't have to know everything pero, a simple name of who she's going out with would be nice. I'm afraid if something happens to her once night we won't know. She's been a great mom but we don't know much about her.

If she is doing all you say then she isn't the best parent. She is entitled to her privacy, but this behavior isn't healthy. She needs counseling and perhaps you and your siblings do as well. She needs to turn her life around and she is unlikely to do it without professional help. Best of luck to you all.
