My phone lets me call, but not text?

I can call with my iPhone, but not text. When i go to settings > iMessages > Send & Receive, under "YOU CAN BE REACHED BY IMESSAGE AT" it says my number in grey letters, so it is not enabled. I got my SIM card from a seven eleven:/ ?

Your SIM card, your wireless carrier, doesn't have short message service (SMS), which is how texts are sent. SMS is a premium service that you pay for separately from wireless providers, much like Internet and data are separate services. That wireless service provider's SIM card apparently only provides you with analog voice service.

  • Isn't there any iPhone app that actually lets you edit the text in a PDF file? The thing is that all apps I've ever seen let you make annotations only, and not delete one text in order to replace it with another. As powerful as Apple brags itself the CPU in the newest iPhone 6S Plus is (I have that very larger model), isn't there any app that conducts the OCR on a PDF file (or recognizes it in any other way), allowing for actual editing?
  • Is there an iPhone texting app that lets you keep your phone number? I'm on AT&T and it costs $20 a month to send SMS… Is there any app that lets you use your actual phone number without it charging you on your phone bill?
  • Is there an iPhone app to convert (phone call) speech to text? I've got a friend who's a little hard of hearing. He would still like to be able to talk to people on the phone, so I would like to know if there's an app for the iPhone that would allow him to have a conversation, but have the other person's speech converted to text, so that he could talk, and read what the other person is saying on the screen. Any help is greatly appreciated!
  • Is there an app on iPhone that lets me edit my music from the phone? I'm wanting an app that lets me edit my music straight from the iPod instead of having to use iTunes. I've been looking for an app that does this but can't seem to find 1. Please let me know if you know of one thanks. I already know how to delete straight from my phone but just want to edit the songs that are not spelled right and stuff like that
