My sprint slot was locked now its open can i use my iphone 4s with any carrier now?

Only international GSM carriers, not any GSM carriers in the USA. See the link in the source for more info, but here is the main summary quote:

"The Verizon and Sprint versions of the iPhone 4S are programmed to predominantly operate on CDMA networks. They can be "unlocked" for international use, which means that certain SIM cards can put in them to get access to foreign carrier's network. But if you try putting in a SIM card from AT&T or T-Mobile to an unlocked Verizon or Sprint iPhone 4S, you'll get an error message."

  • What happens if I use another object to open the card slot for iPhone 5? You know that they have that small thingy you use to open the card slot for iPhone 5? What if I use other objects to do the job? I've used paperclip, and the needle of a compass to do the job several times to change cards. Might it be dangerous? The last thing I want to happen is to damage my iPhone's card slot and therefore making it unable to open.
  • IPhone 5 locked sprint carrier? So I was at work and some idiot punched in a number on my phone and now it says it's locked for 15 mins then I tried unlocking it and said 60 mins? Please help! Is there like another number to punch in to unlock it or something?
