My stepmom won't buy me a new phone even though she KNOWS the one i have now is horrible and outdated?
So i have a samsung j3 and I've had it for 2 years. This November will be my 3rd year and i don't think it will last till then. As of now, i can barely answer calls from my parents in time, the companion app my stepmom has for me (to restrict access on my phone) keeps uninstalling itself and disabling itself, apps keep crashing, chrome can barely open, the phone is just VERY slow in general. She said once my two years was up i could upgrade to an iPhone but i got grounded two times last year in March and a couple months before Christmas. My dad and her both have nice phones even though she is the only one with an iPhone. I asked for my birthday and Christmas last year for an iPhone. How do i convince her for a new one? I do all my chores, i get straight A's every semester. There's nothing i can do!
Added (1). by the way, i'm 13 in 8th grade. People always make fun of me to the point where it is very aggrivating just because i have a Samsung and they all have the new iPhone x. I do have money but i can't get a job.

Earn money to buy a new phone, it doesn't have to be an iphone. Or try doing a factory reset on your phone.
Maybe one your friends may have a spare phone they can give you. Not sure how to convince them if they refuse to get you one
So what? Having a horrible and outdated phone doesn't entitle you to get a new one. You sound exactly like my 14 year old brother who thinks he should get his own phone just because others have one.
If your parents don't want to buy you a new one, then that's it. Either you'll buy one yourself (not a smart idea to waste $700+ on a phone that will be obsolete soon), or offer to pay for half of the cost of the phone.
Forget it. You can live without a new phone.
What can you do? Very simple. Get your parents together and ASK them, what it is that you can do, to get the phone you want. Then do exactly what they say will get you an iPhone. If you already know the things that will get you grounded, then that means you are smart enough to repeatedly to do those things. Otherwise you are not are smart as those straight As imply.
Take your mom to Costco they have a really good deal on cordless phones right now you can get 4 cordless phones for 29 dollars
But if it was her biological child, she'll buy a new one in no time. That's how I see it.
You are mostly responsible, well behaved, nice, but you might look for a part time job with a local employer if you are old enough to work in regular work,
or a job kid sitting for a few hours evening time, make a deal with the folks to purchase a better one, and give ma couple hundred bucks a month from your job earnings
- Phone apps aren't working even though I have Wi-Fi? I have an iPhone 5s and apps that use Wi-Fi like Facebook, instagram aren't working, I've reset my phone but that didn't help and I can't even reinstall the apps because I can't get a connection on the App Store, anyone know?

- How horrible is Mexico, I only saw one person when I was there that had an iPhone X and most people there did not even have an iPhone at all? It is so backwards and uncivilized. How can people live like that. It would be like living back in the 90s.
