My Wi-Fi goes out every hour exactly?
Anytime I turn something on (xbox, iphone, ipad, laptop, ect.) I have exactly one hour (to the second) till my Wi-Fi cuts out for about 5 seconds and it disconnects me from everything. But as soon as I try and reconnect it suddenly starts to work again. This is getting continually frustrating and I was wondering if anyone had any idea on how to get this to stop. I'm using a Netgear Wi-Fi expander so I get better connection. Does anyone have any ideas?
I would check the address lease & scope on the dhcp device.
check firmware on router
I'm not sure that a short DHCP lease time is your issue, as technically, an expired DHCP lease shouldn't drop your connection, completely. It should, instead, just make your devices check with the DHCP portion of your router more frequently. Often, the DHCP server lets the client keep its current IP address across multiple lease expirations. So it shouldn't disconnect the device at the end of the lease.
It may be simpler to just reset the Router if you haven't done that already.
If you bought this router less then a year ago, the manufacturer may even be willing to troubleshoot the device via some emails for free (some only give you support for the first 90 days, so it depends)
If the Wi-Fi Router is part of your Internet Providers equipment (such as an integrated uVerse or DSL modem that also does Wi-Fi) then your internet service provide (ISP) should really get involved, since it is their equipment.
But if the issue is occurring on All devices, then it is more then likely the router.
I'm dealing with the same problem if anyone has a soultion please help
- Why did my iPhone 4 run out of battery in an hour? I had it set up as a tissue-box security camera to monitor my bedroom, and while it was recording, it only lasted an hour before shutting off. It was in airplane mode and had brightness all the way off. Are there more ways I can get it to run for say, 4-6 hours?
- Left Earbud on every set of Earbuds keeps cutting out? Hey guys I have a bit of a dilemma right now, I've searched everywhere to figure this out but I can't find the answer. I was hoping someone could help me! I have the iPhone 5 and it's almost a year old so not very old. On EVERY set of earbuds the left earbud keeps crackling in and out with the song or just goes completely silent. Anyone else have this issue? I've tried blowing into the jack, and the adapter on my lifeproof case. I'm kinda at a loss now.
- IPhone, every time I open app it goes black? I recently got the 6 plus about 2-3 weeks ago. Every time I open an app the app pops up then the screen goes black. After the screen goes black it stays that way and then I click the home button and it goes away then I click on the same app and it's fine. I've restarted my phone and it still does it. It doesn't just do it on apps that I've downloaded. It does it on my messages, and my clock, etc, apps that have been programmed into my phone.
