Need input. He was exiting out of a dating app?

I have been with my boyfriend on and off for the last few years. We've been together now since Feb and things have been going great for the most part. Yesterday he took half a day off from work (he is an IT sales executive) so we could go to the beach. When we returned to my apartment, I went to change and upon my entering the living room I saw that he was exiting out of a dating application on his iPhone. There was no profile, the screen was blank at the login/password information. I ignored it for a moment because I was too shocked. But I got kind of weird and he asked if I was okay, when I asked him about it… He said they are one of his clients (I knew this to be true for a different dating site). But I don't know if I believe him. He doesn't strike me as someone to lie or even look at another woman. But I'm still hurt and I don't know what to believe.

Stop being crazy.

You should ask him about it. If this were myself and my boyfriend, I would automatically assume that something was fishy. You need to communicate with him. Finding out if he has potential interests is a red-flag. I'm not saying that he is cheating, or is planning to cheat, but asking about won't hurt.

If he over-reacts, then that is probably not a good sign. If your boyfriend is even bothering using dating apps/sites, then why are you two even dating? It's hard to say…

Definitely ask about it. If your gut is telling you something is off, do something about it, hun.
