New bbm app won't work for me?

I can't seem to sign up to it asks me to enter my email and they it says we will email you for a confirmation I have waited for over 5 hours and I still have no email why is it taking so long also I have the latest iPhone 5c but that is not why it's not working anyone else had this problem with bbm.

It is working, but sadly it is taking a lot of time due to the high demand. There are 5 million people in the 'line' to use it, so don't feel disheartened. I have been waiting for 13-14 hours and I have not received the email either. We just have to wait, patiently.

It is normal and a prerequisite for the app to work on your iphone. Once you enter your e-mail, it holds an activation slot for you and when your slot reaches the front of the queue, bbm then e-mails to let you know that you can now activate your bbm app by clicking "i got the e-mail". Users who signed up at BBM website, will get a headstart and should be able to download the app immediately. Those who didn't sign up may have to wait a few hours before the app becomes available to download on their device - this applies to all platforms.

So stay put and an e-mail will be sent. In the words of BBM, it takes couple of hours however in reality it takes much more than couple of hours - 24-48hrs precisely.
