New iPhone 5 got wet and broke?
My brand new iPhone 5 got wet and is not functioning. My parents signed a 2-year contract with AT&T. Is a new iPhone 5 going to cost a ridiculous amount of money? What can I do? I think it is under warranty.
Unless it was internal damage that was the fault of the supplier, the warranty does not cover " negligence "
Probably the new version of the iPhone is probably gonna cost alot because its new and very popular and alot of people are buying it and the more people that buy a product the more expensive it will become

Get in touch with the contracter and ssee what they say. And yes they do cost alot to buy.
Dry the phone out for a few dys and see if it has any effect, some places can repair water damage depending on how bad
Before going to apple and they asking you if you bought Apple care+ and then try and rob you of $200 bucks I would recommend leaving the phone submerged in dry rice with a lamp over it for a couple days. My phone was at the bottom of a toilet for 10 min and I got it to work by doing this! If you can which maybe hard because the iphone 5 screws are so tiny (you might have to order a little screw driver from ebay, but try anyways) you should remove the back of the phone and leave it open like that in the rice. I left my over the weekend like this so I would say leave it for 2-3 days and see what happens! Good luck, I hope it works for you! Here is a video on how to open your phone.

- My iphone got wet in the rain and now my sound is playing really low and muffled? It was raining and I was out and my iPhone was in my pocket, I don't even know how it got wet or it could of been a puddle that splashed but now when I play music, phone rings or text alert its very quiet and muffled and crackly or sometimes I can hardly hear anything at all.
