New sim not working in iPhone 4s?
My boyfriend just upgraded his phone and gave me his iPhone 4s. He's on billpay and I'm on prepay (credit). I had to switch over networks from o2 to vodafone which was fine but now that I've put the sim card in, it just says no service (the sim isn't damaged)? The guy at the shop said it would take an hour for the sim to work but that was 3 hours ago.Am I meant to leave to sim in the phone for an hour and then it will work? It also will not connect to Wi-Fi. Any help would be great!
Check if you put it in the correct direction and try switching it off then on again hope it helps.

- Straight talk sim card in Iphone 4 not working? I purchased an unlocked iphone 4 from ebay. I took a sim card out of a deactivated nokia e5 and cut it down to fit the iphone. When i put the sim card in the iphone a notification changes from no sim card to no service. I tried to activate the sim card using the serial number on it via straight talk website. It keeps telling that the serial number isn't recognized. I don't know if I need a new sim card or what I need to do. Can someone please help me?!
- Restore new iphone from backup before working sim? I just got the 5s and had a 4 beforehand, i'm waiting for a call on my old phone to have my sim and number transferred to the new phone - in the mean time can i do the restore old backup from my iphone 4 to the 5s or do i have to wait until i get the sim up and running? also is it ok to backup? I've read mixed replies - some saying that because its a new phone set it up as a new device don't backup. Some say its ok. I don't want to lose any of my messages, pics etc
- Part of my phone screen is not working do I get a new screen or do I have to get a new phone? I have a 6S plus iPhone and I dropped it and now part of my screen isn't working when I touch it. Do I get a new phone or just repair it's screen?
