New to iphone, How to close application in iphone?

To exit an app simply push the home button, thats the big round one on the bottom with the square in it
Double click the big round home button then when that loads hold your finger down on the app till a little x comes up then pres that. When done press the home button or touch any where on screen good luck.
Press the home button below the screen. The iPhone would kill the app shortly after pressing the button as they don't multitask that well. If you want to be sure, double press the home button, press and hold the app icon and press the 'x' on the corner of the icon.

Click the home button(below the screen) to minimize the app.
After clicking home button app still running in background to permanently close it, press and hold the home button, then a row comes down to the bottom of the screen their you can see the all open apps.
To close all the apps now click and hold any app so a cross(x) comes up on the corner of all apps then click and close.
