No sound on my Alpine CDA-9886 except for Aux input?
I've had this stereo for five or six years. Recently, the audio stopped working on everything but anything using the aux input (my wife and I have used our iPhones just fine on this). This has happened before, but usually corrected itself by powering down and starting it up again. I had subscribed to Sirius, and when this issue happened before it always occurred when I would cycle through the inputs (aux, USB, HD radio, CD, iPod) and the Sirius input would be missing. It would always come back quickly though. Now, it's been almost a week and the Sirius input hasn't shown back up. I recently cancelled my subscription to Sirius, but that shouldn't make a difference; whenever I went to the Sirius input, it just played the preview channel to entice a subscription. When I put in a CD or switch to the iPod, the display shows up like normal and counts down like it's playing the song. I get no error message. The speakers obviously work because the sound comes on when I plug in something to the aux.
I have an Alpine CDA-9886 head unit, Alpine speakers, and an Alpine amplifier. Does anyone have any idea how to get my sound back?

- Will an iPhone 5 with iOS 7 work on an Alpine iDA-X305S head unit? I own an Alpine iDA-X305S head unit which is iPod/iPhone compatible, it allows me to control the music (and Pandora internet radio) from the unit. I'm looking forward to upgrade my iPhone with iOS7, but I would like to know if there's some kind of compatibility issue with the head unit and this new OS. Since the unit doesn't have a CD playback, losing compatibility with the head unit would practically leave me with FM and USB flash drive capabilities in my car.
- What model year did the Ford Explorer add an aux input jack? I'm shopping for a used SUV, and I was just wondering what is the oldest model year for the Ford Explorer SUV that includes an auxiliary input jack, so I can listen to music from an iPod/iPhone. I know there are things such as cassette player adapters, but I'm talking about an actual 3.5mm input.
- My nissan 2008 does not have an aux input? So I recently received my dad's 2008 Nissan versa. I looked everywhere in the car and can't find the aux input or any kind of plug in spot where I could plug my iphone in for music. Maybe there's some spot that I missed? If anyone knows? It does have a lighter socket type thing so wondering if that could somehow work?
- My iPhone won't make any sound except when it rings? I was watching YouTube videos on my phone and then all of a sudden the sound disappeared. I turned my volume all the way up. I even tried playing music but no sound. I called my cell to see if it would make a sound when it rings and it does ring but the sound of my keyboard clicks won't make a sound either. I went to my settings to see if anything is off but it's not. How do I fix this?
