On the iPhone 4s, how do I turn off everything to do with the Internet?
Hi, I'm going on holiday abroad and using Internet costs a hell of a lot of money, and I was worried that things like 'Facebook' and 'instagram' would notify me a lot, and these use the Internet, how do i switch it off, without having to delete all the apps and stuff?
Sorry if this seems confusing. :/
Oh you have to turn on airplane mode, but It'll turn off texting and calling, which will also
Cost a ton. So it works all in all. I went to mexico for a while and only turned it back on for emergencies, like when my family left me at the scary walmart. Yeah i have good parents
Go into Settings, Wi-Fi, make sure your Wi-Fi is off, then go back to your main Settings, and turn on Airplane mode. That will cut off all Internet (including 3G). However, that uses battery, so be prepared to charge more.
Go to settings
General
Network
Turn off mobile data
And data roaming
Ok so go into settings And turn off Wi-Fi the turn of Data Roaming or if you simply want to keeps someone out use restrictyions on Safari…
- What is 3G for the iPhone 4? Can I turn it off and still use the internet? I just got an iPhone 4 two days ago and I'm noticing the battery isn't the greatest so I'm reading reviews on how to save the battery life and someone said to turn off 3G. What is 3G, what does it do and can I still use the internet if I turn it off? My plan is just prepaid, no data, I only use the internet when I'm in Wi-Fi range.
- What do I do if I want to turn off everything that can make my iPhone 4S make noise? I want to bring my cell phone into class with me, but last time I did that it started playing music and my friends Siri started working. I just want to bring it in class and not have to worry about having it start making noise and me getting ISS. Please* don't put down that I shouldn't be bringing my phone to class because I really have to. Anyway I want to know all the things I need to turn off in order for it not to make any noise at all.
- May I delete everything on my iphone 4s once everything had been transfer to icloud? I have been a iphone user for almost three years and I'm going to trade in my 4s to get the iphone 5. Right now, I'm starting to figure out icloud work and it's a little bit confusing. So I want to know if it's okay if I can delete everything once my contacts, photos, and other stuff had been transfer? Because I do not want to lose my stuff and never get it back!
