Opinions on kids? This generation?

Ok when I was younger I was happy with coloring books tamagotchi a and my Lisa frank trapper keeper collection. I was at my church and I help the younger kids do some drawings and I was baffled! Their parents bought them iPads iPods and iphone5s as an early Christmas gift! I don't even have an IPad. The girl with the iPhone 5 was. Like " MOM THIS BETTER NOT BE MY ONLY PRESENT OR I WILL GET ANGRY. " to which her mother replied " don't worry honey I got it all covered" I'm just baffled. These kids are 5-9 years old. What happened to this generation: O

I.Don't.Know! I'm 14 and for a B-day present I got a laptop and I bought my own iPod 4 a year ago.

Things move on, technology is more accessible, this is just the new age children have been brought up in.
Do you really want to live in a world where there arent any new exciting things being invented?
However I totally agree on teh fact that a lot of kids can be ungrateful and brattish - that i would put down to parenting!

WAT! I'm 14 years old and i just had my first iPhone for a few months! When i was their age the most expensive electronic i had was the leap pad. The old school kind with the paper book and everything. But 5 to 9 year olds with iPads and iPhones! Thats like almost 1000$ worth of technology! I could barely trust myself with these things! That is just crazy! Plus they were early gifts! I'm not allowed to have nothing a month before christmas! I can't believe what the world has come to. I actually have to work hard to get things like that. My iPhone was a present i got from graduating 10 hard years of elementary school. I bet those kids just have to say: Please? BUT I WANT IT! I'm GUNNA GET MAD! Then the parents are like: ok ill pay 600$ for this phone for you just because your so cute! I had to work my but off to get stuff. Ugh, i can't believe kids these days.
