Otterbox is scratching iphone?

Hey y'all. I have an iPhone 5, and you know what they say. IPhone cases are like condoms. You really don't want to but you kinda have to. Anyways, I noticed when I took my iphone out of otterbox to clean case, there are these little spots on the sides where the aluminum is where some of the aluminum paint is missing. It hasn't done any damage to the phone because my power button stopped working on my last one, and at the apple store when they looked at my phone they replaced it free of charge (being that I have AppleCare, of course.) but I was just wondering why does this happen? I live at the beach, could it be little grains of sand getting trapped in the case and rubbing against the sides?

Yeah it should be the sand. Otterbox cases are designed specifically for the phones protrction and will in no way harm your device in anyway. I know. I have one. Sand and dirt are just annoying though

  • Would a normal iPhone 5 otterbox fit on an iPhone 5c? I was thinking about getting the iPhone 5c, I really like it. But I really need an otterbox on it. Will a normal iPhone 5 otterbox fit onto an iPhone 5c? I know the iPhone 5c corners are bit different, but would it work afterall?
  • Which iphone case is better? Lifeproof OR otterbox armor? I want it to be water proof, drop/crush proof, dust, and cold/snow. I really want it to be thin-ish and water proof. ALSO which one can go deeper in water and take a longer fall
  • Will an otterbox for IPhone 5 fit IPhone 4? There's a great sale on otterboxs but of course they are only for IPhone 5's and not 4's. I was just curious if they would fit both?
  • Otterbox commuter for iPhone 4 fit the iPhone 4S? I have a white iPhone 4S. I found a PERFECT otterbox commuter case really cheap and rare to find. It says it doesn't fit the iPhone 4S. It's made for the iPhone 4. But I have an Otterbox defender case that's meant for the iPhone 4 and says it won't for the iPhone 4S but it does. Does anyone know if an otterbox commuter series case that's meant for an iPhone 4 fit an iPhone 4S!
