Pairing iPhone 4S with 2006 Honda Civic EX?

I've just bought a Honda Civic 2.2 Diesel with Bluetooth connectivity so I have tried today to pair my iPhone 4S to get hands free calling set up. However I get as far as the pairing stage and the phone can't recognise the car or car can't recognise the phone. I know it can be done as I know that the previous owner successfully paired their iPhone. I have removed all of those connections but still can't get it to work. Does anyone else have any tips about how to successfully pair iPhone like this that I may be missing?

I would assume the 4 s would be compatible but check on the Web just to make sure, hands free link.Com… I know I've paired my Samsung to our Acuras with out a problem

  • Syncing IPhone 4S Bluetooth with 2006 Prius Bluetooth? I just purchased an IPhone 4S and it will not sync with the bluetooth on my 2006 Prius. I have been to my Toyota Dealer who sent me back to Verizon store who said reinstall software on phone, which I did No luck. Any suggestions?

There's no jack input though - does anyone know what options I have to make it work? (Other than those crappy fm tuners that you put in the bottom of your phone coz they're very temperamental)
