Parent Stealing money from their children?
I'm 15 years old. I have been doing little online businesses for 2 years. All money is gone through Paypal then to the Bank account which is suppose to be under my name (but my dad put it under his and lied to me). I have been working many long hours in the night and many months of work to earn my money online. What I do is completely legal just coding software and selling it. But I made $2500 which I had in my paypal. He kept bugging me to move it to the bank account. So after I moved it to the bank account a few days later, he comes up to me saying that he needs to pay rent so he takes it all and uses it. He said that he would pay it back with interest and nothing has happen it's been about 5 months since he has taken it. He won't bring it up… He has purchased very expensive things like a new iPhone 5 and $300 speakers and more… But he can't pay me my money back… I live in California I've heard there's some law to protect against this thing. But is there any way I can get it back? My parents are divorced.
First talk to him again, don't let him put you off. Then talk to your mother. Unfortunately your case isn't going to be high on anyones list. There are kids out there being abused physically in horrible conditions.

Technically, if you're under 18 everything you 'own' belongs to your parents. So no; there's no law, and no options open to you.
They probably need money as its expensive paying rent, electric, food bills, water bills, etc. And raising kids. However, they should put it away in a college fund for you so you have it in the future when you are older.
Call a lawyer. The worst they could tell you is that you have no case. But you might get some kind of help.
Talk to your mom and discuss what you need to do.
From now on take your paypal as a check instead. Or shift it to your mom's account.
If I recall correctly, you are 15, you can have your OWN debit card/account.
I suggest talking to both of them. Maybe writing down what you need to say first.
As far as him spending the money, real life is expensive, having kids is expensive, I he needs money to pay rent so that you don't become homeless then you should lend the money. However, spending it on other things like you say he has is not ok. And the fact that is sounds like no effort was made to pay back at all.
It's impossible for your parents to steal from you, since children own nothing. All of your money and other possessions belong to them.
If you were to pay your parents back rent and everything else you owe them, it would be a H of a lot more than $2500. You kids always say you want to be treated like adults, but when you are, you start sniveling.
Welcome to the real world where rent is NOT free. Start paying your part of the rent, utilities, and food voluntarily, and your father may not be inclined to take it from you by force.
My parents took my savings too but they really needed it so what could I say. Your dad is cleaning you out and having a good time with your money. YOu need to figure out where to put it so that it doesn't go into that account.
You snooze you lose
- Why do poor people care more about their image and buying nice clothes than feeding their family or paying bills? I see tons of poor people who make less than 20k a year spending their entire income on nice clothes and shoes and purses and makeup. Their children are starving they can't even afford to use the air conditioner or pay for electricity but they absolutely need to buy a new iPhone or a new pair of high heels
- I sent a text message to someone who has their phone off right now. Will they see it when they turn their phone on? We both have iPhones so I sent it on iMessage but sent it as a text message after since the message didn't say delivered. Will they still see it when their phone is on?
- How do people send text messages using their email instead of their phone number on their iphone? Ok so I want to be able to send a text message to someone without my phone number being revealed but my email address to that person and I was wondering if there was a way to do that. Because when some people send me a text message I see their email instead of their phone number. How can I do this?
- How do parents access their children's text messages on iphone? The reason I ask, is because somehow my parents not only read my private text messages, but were able to get copies of particular ones sent to their phones. At first I thought it was a spyware app my Father somehow installed. So, I have since updated my IOS to a new version to hopefully have gotten rid of(or disabled)any spyware.
