Parental Controls for iPhone?
I have an iPhone 4, and my parents said every night at 9:30 my phone will shut off. Is it true? Does my phone completely shut off? Is there any way to get it not to if it does?
Unless it is jailbroken and they have found an app on cydia I don't think this is possible.
Don't take my word for it because I could be wrong but I think the only parental settings there are for content and game centre etc… You can find parental restrictions in
Settings > general > restrictions
If you're still unsure you could always wait until 9:30 and see…
After going through my iphone 4, it does not appear to be possible with the standard iphone restrictions. There are no timing options at all, the options include restricting access to apps, installing/deleting apps, in app purchases, game centre - multiplayer games & adding friends, aged content such as 18+ movies or music with explicit lyrics. These are in Settings/General/Restrictions. The 4 digit password is required to access.
If it is possible, it would have to be through some app. If you have access to the app store you can check what apps have already been installed.
As I know there's parental control apps out there like phonesheriff, it will limit you phone usage, you can get around it by restoring the phone, but your parents will know.
