People making the iPhones in China?

So Apple claimed they sold 5 million iPhone 5s in three days, how long does it take for the folks in China to make 5 million iPhones?

I'll have to guess that it takes less than a week, so long as production remains uninterrupted by abused workers revolting against their Chinese management.

It does take a while.

While there are no published figures on this, it would be difficult for any consumer products (electrical) to make more than 12, 000 a day. To make 12, 000 iPhones/day you must have enormous capacity. If the capacity was at this enormous level, it would certainly take one full year of production just to be the three (3) day demand placed upon by China.

My guess is that Apple ramped up production very quickly and had numerous facilities producing the products. I would also hazard a guess that they had stockpiled pre-assembled components that had been made up to one year previously to enable them to produce such a enormous quantity of products.
