Photos and videos in camera roll, none show up on laptop?

I'm trying to upload videos from my iPhone to my Macbook Pro, but when I plugged it in and opened Image Capture, only pictures and videos taken from today were shown. The videos and pictures are still all on my iPhone, and even when I tried to upload them using Dropbox, it would say that the photos weren't available. What can I do to fix this?

Enable My Photo Stream then share all your photos to all of your devices. You will need an iCloud account to do this. Don't worry. Subsequent pictures you take will still show up in Camera Roll but this time, another copy will be saved in Photo Stream.

I highly advise you keep saving everything to your computer's hard disk. The iCloud is only a temporary storage online. You will eventually run out of space there sooner than later and be forced to delete some materials unless you purchase more space.

  • My photos won't show up in my camera roll? So I recently got the iPhone 7 & I downloaded all my photos from my old phone to my mac book & when I plugged in my iPhone 7 everything was fine, all my photos downloaded. But they all show up in an album and not my actual camera roll, it also didn't download any of my videos so I'm missing 800 videos. So is there a way to get all my videos & pictures back to my camera roll?
  • Photos from iphone camera roll are showing up on ipad camera roll? The pictures from my iphones camera roll are showing up on my dads ipad's camera roll. It is really annoying. Please Help. I tried calling Geek Squad but they were absolutely no help at all. I didn't share these photos through that icloud thing and i didn't send them to the ipad in any way. They just showed up on the camera roll. Please Help ME! I need to get them off the ipad and prevent them from showing up next time i take a photo on my iphone. anything will help.
  • My iPhone 3gs won't save any videos to Camera Roll? I tried saving videos from emails. The 'Save Video to Camera Roll' option is there but when I press it and go to my camera roll, there's no video. It goes the same with Titan Player. I went to my setting's privacy and have it turned on but it still doesn't work? I still have 18.47 GBs in my phone.
