Playing minecraft lan on a mobile hotspot?
I have an IPhone that can create a hotspot and were at a place where there's not Wi-Fi and I want to play minecraft with my sister but my dads worrying about data. So how much data of our 6gb data plan will be used to play minecraft on lan for one hour?
Not every much but I suggest going it on unlimited data plan just in case like me and my friend does on my mobile hotspot
How long will my friend be able to play minecraft on a 10BG hotspot
- When playing games on a laptop, is Wi-Fi hotspot good? I want to play online MMO games from my laptop, using my Iphone's Wi-Fi Hotspot (Verizon). Will this affect my connectivity to a point where my gameplay experience suffers? I'm unable to test myself due to technical difficulties.
- NMAP scan shows hosts which are not in my LAN? How is it possible? I used nmap -sP (also with -PA and PR), and it shows 8 hosts up in my network. I know that only 3 hosts are up. How are this possible? One of the hosts it shows is iphone. I don't have iphone at home. Can it be a friend's iphone, who visited us a week ago, still in the router? Or could it be a neighbours ip address. It's private address anyway (192.168.1.x), so I suppose nmap can pick it up from a neighbour. Any clarification on this issue would be much appreciated.
- Multiplayer minecraft mobile? Is there an app or something where I can play multiplayer for minecraft on my iPhone? Like one that will connect to Minecraft and let me play with friends.
- Is scanning a LAN for devices connected to it illigal? I got this app on my iPhone called Fing - Network Scanner by Overlook Soft, and when I connect to Wi-Fi, it lets me see what devices are connected to the same Wi-Fi. It also gives me that device's IP address and MAC address. Is this considered Port Scanning? Please enlighten me, I don't want to get banned by the Wi-Fi or get that Wi-Fi banned by its ISP. If intent is important, my intent is just to know out of curiosity.
