Plenty of Fish Upgraded User?

I recently got a plenty of fish account. I signed up through the iPhone app. I realized that I'm an upgraded user, but I never signed up to upgrade. How did this happen? I refuse to be charged for this service, will they try and charge me?
I think this is a dating site isn't it. They will do about anything to get your money, but don't worry. When the Hackers that got into Ashley Madison get through posting all of the people that belong to them, they may close up. From what I have seen and heard, one big conglomerate seems to own most of them. If you were going to just look around why didn't you use the free account until you decided if you like it or not. If you never put your credit card number or anything else down they can't bill you. If you did, then I would contact them immediately and tell them to delete that account and send me an email verifying that it had been canceled and deleted and that no money is due now or in the future.

If you never gave them your credit card info, how they gonna charge you?
It was only recently updated -- they didn't always charge to be "upgraded". I don't think they will charge you because you probably signed up before this.
- Why would an iPhone user suddenly be unable to text another i phone user? My husband and I have both have iPhones (through Verizon if it matters) and for the last week anytime he's tried to text me it doesn't go through.
