Added (2). Police can trace iphone 5 by imei number if the phone battery and sim were removed? And totally reseted phone
after reset sim is still in for startup the phone ane then sim was removed befor 4 days and battery was removed before one day then what extent they can trace my phone?

If a SIM was inserted before removing the battery, they will know the approx. Location. If it was not the case, means if it was not registered to any network before the battery was removed, it's impossible to track it down unless you have some sort of GPS Anti-theft app installed on your iPhone that is able to send location information without a SIM when is turned on again.

Possible.

You have to dismantle an iPhone to remove the battery. Apple do not make these user changeable.
No they can't trace it with no battery but can as soon as it comes back up on a network.

IPhones don't have user removable batteries, unless someone went through the trouble of getting the tools to pick the phone apart.

I think they can. Phones have other battery that holds some info (like clock and date, same as com battery in pc), I readied about that and I saw it in several phones. What you need to do is get rid of imei and it won't be traceable.
