Prank calls from no callder ID on iPhone?

Iv been getting some calls from a "no caller ID" on my iPhone. When I answer I can hear someone breathing sometimes with a quiet tv in the back ground. They never speak. Iv been ignoring the calls today but they are becoming more recent. I called up my service provider and asked for a new number (my phone is contract) it's going to take a couple of days. Is there a way to block private numbers from calling or a way to find out who it is?

Report it to your service provider. While the caller id may not be showing on your phone, they can track it from their end.

The only way to really do anything about prank calls is to CONTROL yourself, by NOT answering any phone calls from UNKNOWN or PRIVATE numbers, along with any number that you do not recognize.

You can also make a contact called UNKNOWN or PRIVATE and assign a silent ring tone to them with no vibration or notice, so that when one comes in, it doesn't ring/vibrate and they will get tired of calling because you never answer.

And while you could get your carrier to monitor the calls that come in, you will also have to make a log of each and every call that comes in, and they can look into who's calling, but you will NEVER be told who it was, unless a crime has been committed and you are involved in a court case.
