Prepaid gophone sim card in iphone?
Okay so I have an iPhone 5S, I previously had an old iPhone 4. I will be giving away my old i4 to someone who is currently phoneless, so my question is if I buy a prepaid phone from AT&T and try to use its sim card in the old AT&T iPhone 4, would it work? Or would the phone still need to get unlocked before any other sim card is able to work in it.
My guess is that if it is set to work with AT&T, then a Gophone SIM should work in it. Of course for services of which the iPhone is capable that the Gophone account does not include will give you a message that the service is unavailable.
You might not have to buy a whole Gophone kit. Check with an AT&T store to find out if you can just buy a SIM and start the Gophone account.
