Prepaid tmobile iphone 5 4g?

So I just activated my iPhone 5 and currently all I get is (E) or edge should my 4g be working? Is there any way I can turn it on? Any info is helpfull thank you

Unfortunately, the iPhone 5 uses different frequency bands than T-Mobile so you will get Edge since T-Mobile uses a different frequency band than what AT&T uses, EXCEPT in areas that have been refarmed to use the 1900 Mhz band (which the iPhone does support), which at that point you will get 4G HSPA+ (not LTE).To get an idea where T-Mobile has refarmed some of their towers to use the 1900 Mhz (otherwise known as the HSPA/UMTS band), there's an unofficial site at http://www.airportal.de where users have reported being able to use a phone not T-Mobile phone (such as the iPhone) and getting HSPA/UMTS speeds on the 1900 Mhz band.

  • What's a prepaid phone? Can IPhones be prepaid? I'm going to buy an IPhone 4 from my friend and i'm wondering if it can be prepaid? If so do I need anything like a sim chip? & It's not on contract… Or could I just go on a plan without being on a contract?

When I look through their website, the only prepaid plan I see it's the "simple choice plan" for 50/per month. Also do they have the nano sim card? Are they a %100 contact free and no hidden fees? Also how much will i paid for the first month, example activation fee?
