Problem copying my photos from iPhone to thumbdrive?

I have too much photos in my iPhone and want to transfer them to my thumbdrive. My thumbdrive has a capacity of 16GB, and is empty. My photos are 8+ GB in total. I selected all of my photos and copied them. And then I tried to paste them in my thumbdrive from 'Computer'.It requires many hours to copy all of them into my thumbdrive so I left the computer running and went to sleep. Next day I found that it only copied 70 items. And then I tried to copy over the remaining items, but it does not work. How do I fix this?

Cut and paste in windows isn't always reliable, especially when it gets to a locked file.

try using dos

lets say your name on your profile is box that means your pictures if in the pictures directory are in

c:\Users\bob\Pictures

and your penstick drive letter is f:\

from your searchbar type
cmd

then type
xcopy "c:\Users\bob\Pictures" f:\ /s/h/e/r/t

that should do the trick (replacing bob with whatever your username is)

Select all the photos, and right-click. You will see a menu. Hover on to the Send To menu, then a few locations would come up, hover the drive letter of the thumbdrive that will show on the menu, then click it.
