Problem with my home network?
There's 3 pcs, and 1 iphone connected to the router. Two of the pcs are windows 7 and have no connectivity issues. The other pc, and the iphone will connect and work for a little while, and then loose internet. The connection is still visable when the internet is lost. Any advice?
Backround: i'm a electronic technician that doesn't dare mess with networking issues.
Assuming the iPhone and "other PC" are connected to the router wirelessly then, it is my belief that there's a channel interference happening thus dropping the internet connection. Try changing the Wi-Fi channel. You do this by going into the routers settings. (192.168.x.x)
- Wi-Fi on iPhone keeps saying unable to join network (my network name)? How can I fix this! It's been like this for a week but it works on my laptop fine. I tried unplugging it for a few seconds, I tried resetting network settings, I tried turning my phone off then on again, and I know I'm typing it right. I even typed it in upper case AND lower case. Does anyone know how I can fix this?
- Why won't my iPhone connect to my home network? It's connected before today but my mom had people come in and fix it because when she would connect to it, the router messes up and no one was able to use the internet. Now I can use my desktop at the same time she uses her wireless connected laptop. But my iPhone won't join the network and neither will my other laptop.
- What's the difference between off-network and on-network? I'm try to work out which is best for what I want out of the service. I want protection while on my iPhone 5 (both when connected via Wi-Fi and when roaming on 3/4G). Website with product details: http://www.umbrella.com/products/umbrella-security-features/
- One laptop can connect to our home Wi-Fi network but no other devices can connect? We recently set up a wireless internet connection in our house. One laptop can connect to it (the one I'm currently on) but no other devices can connect to it. It says our "Network Security Key" is mismatched. I have tried typing in all the different codes on both the router and modem on both our second laptop and an iPhone 5. How can I fix this?
