Problem with the headphone jack in my iPhone 6?
Whenever I'm wearing my headphone while walking (or basically any type of fast movement) the music will get all staticy for a few seconds. At first I thought my Apple headphones were wearing out but I got a new pair and the same thing is happening. Is there any way I can take care of this at home rather than sending it in to get fixed?
The socket is dirty. Get a pipe cleaner and Windex. Shut off the phone. BARELY barely dampen the end of the pipe cleaner with Windex. Clean our the socket gently byt thoroughly, as if a baby's ear. Clean the PLUG on your headphones, too. Let everything dry. Turn on phone, insert pug into socket. Better? Try spinning the plug around once or twice. Better? Might need more than one cleaning. There's well over $100K of music equipment in this house (two professional music studios), and every so often, I get out the cleaning stuff, and line up all the similar devices, and clean them ALL -since we often swap the headphones and earbuds from one to another. I put on some music, relax, and take my time - sure beats DRAM when something you need *right now* decides not to work. In an hour - I'm good for weeks or more. I'm similarly vigilant about cleaning digital devices, blowing out dust, backing up everything, updating all kinds of software, backing up all my DATA, checking al my digital and Net protection - the stuff that keeps me away from the crying and screaming HERE when people say they lost their phone, dropped their iPad, lost 5,000 pictures, and 10,000 songs - and of course - NEVER BACKED UP ANYTHING. Storage is CHEAP - loss is terrible. So start with just cleaning out dust and grit - then go after DIGITAL cleaning. Think of it as Jenny Craig (or Biggest Loser!) for your digital life.
- What is the little hole besides the headphone jack on the iphone 4? Okay i have heard people with att that has an iphone say that if they stick a pin in the hole that a dim card tray will pop out. But my iphone is with sprint so i thought they didn't have sim cards so what will happen if i hit the button. * i'm not trolling this is my first time having anything from apple i'm a android person. * please no smart remarks!
- Somehow, a huge piece of the headphone jack got stuck in the headphone port, and I can't find any I think the headphone type is just a normal iPhone headphone. So ground, audio, mic and some of the plastic, or whatever it is, around it, got stuck in there, and it's not super deep, probably because it's almost the whole headphone jack, but it's still in there. Someone please help! I can't find anything! It's just the headphone jack tip that got stuck for everyone else! It's a laptop.
- Is tbere any major différence between thé iPhone 6 and the 6s? Whooppeee is Xmas again and my daughter wants new 2nd hand) iPhone… 2 years ago almost bought her 5 before i réaliséd that it was 5s she wanted ( cos thé 5 sucks?) And I don't want to screw up this year…
- Is my iPhone the cause of my headphone jack breaking? So I have an iPhone 4S and I was using these headphones for about a year and all the sudden the jack you plug in to the phone, bent. It wouldn't work anymore. I don't know how this happened, it may not have been my iPhone. However, now I have a new pair of headphones and I just want to make sure it isn't my phone doing this, could it be my phone or is that very unlikely?
