Putting my SIM card in an old iphone?
My dad got a new iphone, so i currently use his old one (an iphone 3) as an ipod. However I was wondering if my SIM card worked in his, so I tried it out and it did (i got service right away). If I wanted to, could I use the iphone as a cellphone? Currently I do have a phone plan with AT&T, including unlimited data service for $8 a month (i got a cheap price because my current phone is not a smart phone). If I did use it, would AT&T charge me more money for using it? I just want to know what rate changes would apply.
No they won't really care as long as your using their plan and the phone is on a at&t service or is unlocked then there's no problem.

- Will my iphone work with just putting in a SIM card? My old phone was turning off all the time and my mom had an old iphone 3 that she doesn't use anymore. I took her iphone and put my SIM card into it. I then plugged it into the computer and registered it with itunes. Will this charge my AT&T bill? I don't want to pay for data yet? I didn't activate it through AT&T, but now I'm kind of worried it will. Will the phone work okay without calling AT&T to activate it?
- Unlocking iPhone by putting sim card in? My current network are unlocking my iPhone and they have sent me a message to say that to complete the unlocking please, restore from iTunes or put in a different sim card. If I use the sim card option, will it unlock the iPhone completely, or will it unlock it to the first sim card network I use in the phone? Because I may want to move network. Cheers

I have an LG eclypse right now (talk and text plan) and its dying. if i buy an iphone 4 that is locked to my current carrier (virgin mobile), will the SIM card work in the iphone, without me having to buy a data plan? my sim card is standard sized but apparently you can just cut the extra plastic off around the sides and itll work in the iphone.
- Putting my sim card in used iPhone? So my mom has an iPhone 4s, and she is going to upgrade to a 5 tomorrow. I want her 4s. Can I take my sim card out of my 4g android phone and put it into the 4s? I have a data plan and everything, and we both have verizon. Will this work like I won't have to set anything up with Verizon? My cousin did this and explained it to me but i just want to make sure I have this right?
