Quicktime lags and VLC plays iphone movie sideways. What can be done in either case?

So I had my son take a short vid with his iPhone and transferred it to my HD.
When I played it with VLC (or others) it plays sideways. Speed is normal though.
Then I played it with QuickTime and the vid played normally (Portrait) but the speed was too slow.
QT is lagging. Any help with both issues would be appreciated. Thanks to all. BTW would I need to upgrade codecs?

Check if itz happening only to the movie which you played and got the problem… Run any other movie…
If other movies are running fine then itz quite obvious that the movie file with problem is a corrupted movie file… If all the movies are running that way then…

Update your drivers and re install the software(… The player which is creating problem)… Thatz all

to fix the problem you don't need to update your drivers but to avoid all these problems you got to update your drivers.
Re installing the software will surely fix your problem…

Recently i've realized on my iphone 5 that when I get a text message or any notification, that when I pull it down nothing shows up for a couple seconds so then I have to release it and do it again. It lags all the time, mostly for text messages. I'm wondering why it does that because it never use to do that. Its a 32 gb so I have alot of memory to use up still like 13 gbs. I don't know why its lagging so badly.
  • VLC player for iPhone 5 only plays sound? So I was download Spongebob season one the other day as I'm in love with the series. Anyway. I figured that it would be easier to download VLC player app for iPhone than converting the.avi files to.mp4 files. As I was going to bed, ready to enjoy some spongebob I realized that the video didn't play, only the sound. So my question is: How do I fix this? I downloaded it as torrents from www.thepiratebay.sx, not from youtube or some other place.
  • QuickTime Player on iPhone 4? When I tried watching a video after getting my screen replaced the videos will show up and not let them play. And my Internet does everything just fine and runs fine, but it won't play videos. I can download them with a app and watch them but otherwise nothing will play without downloading them. And it's not certain videos, it's every browser, app and Internet site won't play videos. Do I need to restore it or will that help?
